Dr. James C. Richardson, Jr.

The Presiding Bishop of The Apostle Church Of Christ In God is the chief administrative and spiritual leader. He is also the chairman of the Executive Board. The Presiding Bishop supervises, instructs, and counsels other bishops, pastors, ministers, deacons, missionaries, national officers, and members of the ACCG.

About Presiding Bishop, Dr. James Collins Richardson, Jr. (Third in Succession)

Since 1995, Dr. J. C. Richardson, Jr. has served as Pastor of his home church, Mount Sinai, in Martinsville, Virginia, and Presiding Bishop of The Apostle Church Of Christ In God (ACCG). And believing that the church should impact the community, Bishop is also a member of the Martinsville City School Board; having been appointed by Martinsville City Council.

Educationally, Pastor Richardson earned his Bachelor of Arts from Virginia University of Lynchburg, VA, and the Master of Divinity from Howard University School of Divinity, Washington, DC. He was also recognized by the Richmond Virginia Seminary with an honorary Doctor of Divinity. Further, from 1997-2007, Dr. Richardson was on the faculty of W. L. Bonner College in Columbia, SC. He has served on the adjunct faculty at Patrick Henry Community College, Martinsville, VA.

Additionally, Dr. Richardson has published four books and numerous articles.

He is the son of the late Bishop J. C. Richardson, Sr. and the late Mrs. Margaret Thompson Richardson. He is married to Mrs. Gloria Hairston Richardson, and they have one son, James C., III (LaTonya) and one daughter, Nikki M. (Reginald) Cyntje. He and Mrs. Richardson are also the proud grandparents of five: Marquisha, James L. K. (Jay), Cairo, Amyah, and Zuri.
